Dotter, pictured above, has accomplished so many things in her 20-something years, the most recent of which is starting her own blog called “Pocketful of Pennies – so I can put my two cents in and give one for your thoughts”.
Before I poison my family. I mean, I would not do that on purpose, but I really do need some help.
Not sure how things are in your neck of the woods when it comes to Halloween, but it is a BIG holiday down the bayou. Some folks go all out and stuff clothing to look like real people and place them on their front porches. One family stuffed male clothing, added a milk-jug head, and propped the poor fellow on top of a riding lawn mower in the front yard. Porches are covered in spider webs. Yards are full of grave markers–some with names and messages.
For four years now I’ve been writing on this blog, present tense, about life in the Louisiana wetland that surrounds me. How many years before I write the book which begins with the words,
“This was a working wetland”?
