CooNee Returns!
I didn’t tell you that CooNee was gone, because I was too sad about it and I was hoping she would return.
Last Monday while we were gone all day, something happened to The Big Yellow Dog and CooNee. They disappeared. KatyBug sent me a hilarious story of how she imagined the two of them off on an adventure, CooNee riding on Yellow Dog’s back. I like the story and might use it one day, if she doesn’t mind!
It’s one week later, and CooNee has come home. There is still no sign of Yellow Dog, sad, I know.
She said to me in coon language, “Mommy, it’s me, CooNee. Please open the door. There are a bunch of cats out here, and you know I don’t like cats, Mommy.”
“Listen you felines, line up right there and don’t touch my bowl. Mommy is coming out here to feed me any minute now.”
“Don’t come any closer, or I’ll give you what for!”
“Mommy, pleeeeeeeease give me something to eat. I’m tired, and hungry, and thirsty and I have a hurt leg.”
“Thank you, Mommy. Now please give the cats theirs so they can quit staring at me!”
Yay! I just -love- a story with a happy ending! CooNee, don’t worry your mommy so much!
Well, she is a wild thing and I can’t keep her in the house anymore. So she is free to come and go as she pleases. She might show up again for cat food and she might not!
I hate it when they decide they want to go on vacation. Us mommies worry over where they are and what friends might be getting them into. *grin*
How are your feral kittens doing? Believe it or not, those kittens on my porch are feral.
I’m really sorry to hear that Yellow Dog is gone – again. I’m glad to hear that CooNee made it back. Looks like you have a friend for life. The kittens are cute.
She disappeared the day after I finally gave her the “tape worm” treatment. I ordered it online and had to wait for delivery. I hope she’s healthier, where ever she is.
Is Yellow Dog old enough to have come into “season”? If that’s the case, she may come back soon and present y’all with a houseful of little ones in a couple of months. Then again, she may be punishing you for giving her “the treatment”.
LOL
What a passel of tuxedo kitties! CooNee was standing her ground, eh, even though the odds were against her.
TUX kitties!! That’s EXACTLY what we call them!!!
