I'm still alive!

I’m sorry I don’t have any photos to post right now, but I am on a friend’s computer just trying to touch base with all of you.  When I get an internet connection at Camp Dularge (they are saying October 15th) I will be posting like a madwoman.  I have lots of stories and photos to share with you.

Communicating with you offers me an escape from reality for a while each day.  Just as long as you keep reading and commenting, I will keep on bloggin!

Blessings to all of you, and I am still down the bayou, hanging in there and trying to remain–

Your Bayou Woman

  1. I figured maybe Mark might text if you died or beat up the insurance man so wasn’t too worried. It is a bit nippy up here now so thinking of trip down there
as soon as I get here in line.

  2. I’ve been thinking of you and was wondering how you were doing. I wasn’t going to check today, because you had said it wouldn’t be until the 15th that you’d have internet. Well, for some reason I came by anyway. :0) I’m glad you are still alive. ;0) I look forward to your stories and pictures. The ones on KHOU and NOAA just don’t have the same personal touch. I’m contuing to pray for you and all those affected by the hurricane.

  3. blufloyd……….you made me laugh out loud. Knowing my Cuz, you hit the nail on the head with the insurance guy.

BW, we’re all here for you. Praying for your safety and recovery. Feeling your pain in not having your Internet at your fingertips, too. We’ll wait patiently for your posts and pictures.

  4. I’ve been wondering what’s been going on with you. I’m going to have to give you a call. I hope you can accept calls! We’re back in the lower 48 and stuck in the NW for awhile.

  5. I’m glad to get an update. We’ll be patient and wait until you have time to post again. Just so you know that you have a lot of friends out here thinking of you and praying for you and your neighbors.

It’s not even 70 degrees here and the leaves are changing fast. Fall will come early, I think. Cool weather is a blessing when you’ve got a mess to clean up. So I hope some of the cool temps come your way.

  6. I too am glad to know you’re still alive and kicking. PLEASE don’t beat up the Insurance adjuster too bad. Leave some for me! The adjuster assigned to us hasn’t been by yet, and he won’t return our calls to give us an idea when he’ll be by. Roofers are ALMOST as bad . We actually hijacked a roofer from another house in our neighborhood yesterday. I am SOOOOOOOOOO tired of waiting around for someone to return calls. I WANT TO GO FISHING!
I’ve been checking in 2-3 times everyday for new posts, and will continue to do so.
How are you doing with the “clean up”?

  7. ((((BW)))) great to ‘hear’ from you. Remember to take care of yourself and not push too hard trying to get everything done at once. I’ll keep checking in to see how you are getting along.
You and yours are still in my heart.

  8. I have been so worried about you! I was going to write but figured if you had not posted that you could not write either!!! My hubby and I have seriously discussed comeing down to assist when we get our corn harvested. …. 🙂 cant wait to here from you again
