Anole debut — 7 Comments

  1. My brother used to mail these to me from Florida.
Lived on the screened porch . CwitdeR has buckets of them out back door.
I only have Mantids. Gone now with the freeze.

The ground is getting white with snow here. Think I’ll be depressed till icefishing. There are other Roberts in my head though. Frost, as it were.

“To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep,
Of easy wind and downy flake.”

  2. Three comments, now my life has purpose!!!
HH – The babies that survive the stray cat attacks go off and find their own jungle to grow up in. (I have pix of her spouse for later!)
Blu – thanks for the correction!

  3. Very nice Anole… the picture is quite wonderful. And I finally remembered (or rather, “located”) the word for the white stuff on oranges… it’s “albedo”.

  4. its 2:40 am-i just went fix my be’be’ his bottle & seen Antoinette’s youngest son…lol he lives here near my kitchen window-he likes to visit my french back doors-peeping his head around the wood of each glass as the be’be’ tries to catch him through the glass…they have become good pals.
