Fishing and Baking – See What's Shaking

TODAY: First thing I saw this morning out my window was a beautiful owl sitting on the power line looking for his breakfast. Tried taking a photo, but this brainy D50 knew good and well there wasn’t enough daylight – the sun was not up yet. Looks like another day of fishing. Poor pitiful me, right?

COMING SOON: Bayou Woman bakes Gingerbread Bayou People!!!!

And for those of you who have been trying to get my secret sweet potato pie recipe for years, this might be your lucky year–if the weather turns cold enough. These pies must be made in cool, crisp weather or they just turn to one big pile of mush. Turning down the A/C to 50 doesn’t even work. I tried. We’ve been having some very warm weather, and even now I’m headed out the door in a T-shirt to ride aross a lake. I should be wearing three layers and a field jacket. Oh well . . . . pray for the cold and I might just give it up–the recipe that is!!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY AND COME BACK LATER TO SEE WHAT’S SHAKING DOWN THE BAYOU!
