Remember this? the old toilet and old floor . . . And this spot where the toilet went? Ta Da! Like magic, isn’t it? LilSis carried the old nasty one out. Then Handy Friend repaired the old floor. Monday skunk?
Today was a total work day. I left the house before daylight and arrived home after dark. My office was about 7 miles long, and the East wind whipped around my work space all day. The sun shone, the clouds billowed, the marsh hens cackled, and the day ended with the horizon reflecting the most…
WARNING: Don’t go into the water. Really?
Yes, really and truly. I’m not kidding you, and neither is the Louisiana state Department of Health and Hospitals when they put out a warning about high levels of a certain dangerous bacteria in coastal Louisiana swimming holes.
Come sail away with me . . .
Grand Isle has the friendliest people. First off, a very nice couple let us use their beach- front camp for our weekend on Grand Isle. I’d say that was pretty friendly, wouldn’t you? BW your readers are just too smart to pull one over on!
By the way, thanks for letting me stay at Camp Dularge this weekend. I enjoyed the visit and the fun! You’ll soon be booked up with fisher men and women! What fun!
P.S. You might want to post a pic of that huge ‘gator we saw on our adventures for everyone to see.
You are very welcome! It was great having you! I thought the pics would go along with the “joint” sister post we’re supposed to write???
BW, the fish do come out shaped like a fish. Don’t expect to see all the details though. Just make sure to “season” that cast iron GOOD, even if it’s already pre-seasoned. When you fill the fish be careful not to over fill them. It’s much easier to remove the baked fish.
I love cast iron pans… anyone seen a pumpkin one?
