Photo Caption Contest! And we have a winner!

And the winner is HEIDI with this prize-winning caption:

“Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my basket keep, from water deep as I have no sail, but want to follow my Bayou Gal.”

Thank you, everyone, for participating.  All of these were entertaining, creative, and amusing!  Heidi, we’ll email about where to ship the honey!

This photo of CooNee needs a caption. In the past, I’ve asked you for a photo name, but this time I want a caption.

You have until Monday afternoon to leave your caption in the comment section.

I will narrow them down to three, unless there is one that just jumps out at me, and I will draw the winner from a hat.

The prize will be a plastic honey bear filled with Wetlander’s Gold Honey, made by my very own honey bees. This honey tastes like no other you’ve ever tasted, as it was made from marsh flowers.

You must know this is a generous prize, because I don’t have my bees any more. This honey really is like gold to me, and I don’t have much left; but if a gift has no value to me, then how can it be valuable to you?

Put your creative hats on, everyone, and start typing in those captions!

  1. “A tisket, a tasket, baby CooNee luuuves his basket.”

Hi Wendy, I’ve been enjoying your blog. You do a great job keeping it up.
We’re still waiting to see the beginning of work on the North Lake Mechant Restoration Project (T-44). We’re excited and have been spending lots of time at the camp on the Racourcci. It will be interesting to see that big equiptment navigate, set up and get to working.
    Have a good one!
