Sign of the Times!
And the message on this sign is exactly why you see the windshield wiper in the bottom right edge of photo. No way was I getting out of my car to take this picture! These folks live about a half mile down the bayou from me. This is their bayouside, where they keep all their…
Cajun Injustice
Maybe you’ve had the chance to catch an episode or two of the A & E reality series called “Cajun Justice” since its debut on June 5. Maybe you’ve had the chance to watch the show and just don’t want to admit that you actually sat through a whole thirty-minute episode. Or maybe you fall into the camp that says they have never and will never watch the show. But before you throw the Cajun out with the boiling pot, hear me out.
From Batavia to Niagara Falls
By the time we landed, got our rental car, checked into the hotel and rode around Batavia, NY looking for an appealing place to eat, it was dark, and I could not get any decent snow photos. But first thing Friday, with a rare sun-shiny day, came my chance for a photo op.
Berry Good Memories
After posting up the recipe for Blackberry Dumplings, I went back to the berry patch to pick more wild berries. Returning to the same patch, I was determined to pick only the blackest, plumpest, ripest berries. At the first picking, I had been so excited to find ripe berries, that I picked berries a little prematurely. However, since that first picking, we’ve had hard rains, coupled with days of sunshine in between, and now the berries have had time to fully ripen. So I made a conscious effort not to block the sun and to pick all of them in the glaring sunlight.

She…
The concrete trucks have landed!
This is the first of 4 trucks and about 20 cubic yards that were poured under the house. Mr. S directs the chute, as the driver sends concrete down the chute. As soon as it’s on the ground, Mr. S and his helper use rakes to pull it across the ground to the far side…

Wow! Those LA boots are great! I can so see you scooting around a sawdust-covered floor in those boots.
I know, huh? I love the pelicans! Just too cool.
Okay, you’ve had more time on your hands today than I have. This post should be on my blog – or are you going to take lessons, too????
Lessons? Nah. I’ve been practicing in the kitchen with Miah! He’s the only one who’ll dance with me! I made this post for you actually! I can only dream of Lucchese boots, unless I hock my boat!
Haha, man, check out those boots! I’ve never seen anything like ’em! Wow. Whoever owns those must be the talk of the town.
Rocky, if I had those boots, I’d dance to your music in them! Do you dance?
