Hybrid House Part 7
After the sheetrock is finished, then there is the wonderful, fulfilling chore of paint. I totally thought Dotter, The Captain, whomever else wanted to help, and I would be doing the interior painting. However, Enrique’s economic price included painting, so how could I refuse? You know, and correct me if I’m wrong, most women have…
Fishing and Baking – See What's Shaking
TODAY: First thing I saw this morning out my window was a beautiful owl sitting on the power line looking for his breakfast. Tried taking a photo, but this brainy D50 knew good and well there wasn’t enough daylight – the sun was not up yet. Looks like another day of fishing. Poor pitiful me,…
Ascension Outdoors Descends on Dularge!
A recent phone call from my fishing buddy, Lyle Johnson, resulted in plans for filming a little fishing trip for the recently reinstated outdoors show “Ascension Outdoors”, co-hosted by Lyle and his brother-in-law, Goosie Guice. I’m not sure why they call him Goosie, but it might have something to do with the fact that he was a championship duck caller at one time. Heck, he might still be for all I know.
Out With the Old . . .
. . . and in with the new. Do you really want to hear this boring story? If not, click away from here. If so, let’s move on. Just look at the removal/delivery man. Even he is paying homage to the Ancient Freezer. Does anyone out there in cyberspace still own a manual defrost? Yesterday…
We even eat that good claw meat!
I apologize if you are a person who chooses not to eat any kind of living creature. And if you are, it’s best you stop right now and read no further. Because, Crawdaddy was destined to be the star of this tutorial on cracking crawfish claws and eating the meat from them. Here he is,…
Softer Side of Hunting
Even as a child, I liked to wander unexplored territories, as much as that was possible growing up in a subdivision. It was nothing for me to jump the backyard fence, cross the concrete ditch, and shimmy under the barbed wire in order to explore the field behind the house. As I grew older and with a bicycle as my free ride, I went as far as my imagination and legs could take me, which was often to a pecan tree-filled lot beside the junior high school.

Looks a lot better than the take out Chinese I had. Plus I bet it warmed up your kitchen, which mine could have used!
Oh yea, Cuz, it was delicious and the kitchen was cozy and warm. The oven is the only heat we have on that side of the house, anyway!
And a lot better than the frozen pizza I had while shuttling ice chips and Sprite to RenRed.
Well, nurse HH, I hope he’s on the mend today. That virus stuff gets old real quick!
And we had lemon icebox pie for dessert !
Oh now, you really outdid me there! Was it really lemon “ice box”? Oh my goodness. And you didn’t save me a piece?
If I made a lemon icebox pie no one but me would’ve gotten any. I only make them about 4 times a year just for that reason. I can eat the whole thing!
Looks great!!! Which wine did you chose?
Now, MD, you know I don’t drink wine. But I’d be glad for you to recommend one!
